Our story

Welcome to Wilma Event Design, a contemporary venue styling company started by long time friends, Susi and Jane. We first met over 15 years ago, after being placed together (thankfully!) in a house share on the first day of University. Throughout our early twenties, our mutual curiosity for travel encouraged us to explore extensively. We’re continually influenced by creativity from other cultures, design, art, interiors and architecture.

With strong career backgrounds in TV Production and Design, we naturally have ambitious imaginations! When it came to celebrating our own weddings we wanted to source inspirational suppliers, who shared the same sense of imagination and desire to bring in unique style elements. The creativity we found in the intricate designs of our own weddings sparked an instinctive progression into event styling for us.

Our aim is to perfect the elements that are most integral to our clients, even if they’re not the easiest options. We never repeat a previous style and prefer to take inspiration from each client, creating something contemporary, bespoke and special every time.

Our inspiration comes from each client, we draw on individual personalities to find the perfect statement style!  For us it really is a labour of love working on each item, and we enjoy seeing all the elements come together on your big day.
